As the sub-divisional magistrate of Rajkot, he resolved issues involving revenue, civil and criminal laws. As the District Magistrate of Kheda, his role involved criminal administration and holding court of appeal for resolving various matters. As the ACS-DST, he acted as a full-fledged civil judge awarding compensation up to the extent of Rs. 5 crores for cyber crimes and frauds. Incidentally he is the only officer in India to have decided half a dozen cases under Section 43 of IT Act. In no other state any judgements have been made under IT law.
